At Pma 2008, Samsung Digital Camera Holds New Product Exhibition For “Digital Camera Excellence”

Samsung Camera participated in the 3-day PMA 2008 (Photo Marketing Association) from January 31 (Thursday), 2008 until February 2 (Saturday) to exhibit new, leading products and technology and capture the world market in the beginning of the year.
Now in its 84th year, the PMA 2008 is held at the beginning of every year in Las Vegas and is the world’s largest photo and video technology exhibition. 130 global brands from 100 countries including Samsung, Canon, Sony, Nikon and Panasonic are participating and competing with cutting edge products and technology in the imaging field.
It operated 4 corners with different themes including the DSLR zone, HD zone, DRIM technology zone and “line-up shooting” zone to display high resolution video and cutting edge technology.
At this exhibition Samsung used the slogan "imagine perfect images" and had a 610m exhibition space for 11 digital cameras and 10 DSLR lens products. In the DSLR zone, DSLR products were introduced with a variety of image correction features to fully preserve the feel of an image subject including high-power APS-C size (23.4mm×15.5mm) 14.6 million pixel CMOS, an image sensor Shift-type Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) system and the Dual Dust Reduction System.
The 14.6M CMOS image sensor, which was developed using Samsung’s internal infrastructure, was introduced, and its noise reduction effect and clear high-resolution images demonstrated the excellence of Samsung technology.
In the HD zone and the DRIM zone, the 24mm wide-angle 2nd generation NV products and HD technology that will lead the world digital camera market this year were introduced. Samsung displayed market leading projects such as its exclusively developed Dream Engine (DSP) rapid image correction technology for upgraded resolution and image correction speed.
The next generation AMOLED video display equipped in 2nd generation NV products leads the world as the smallest ever commercially developed, and it is proud achievement for Samsung technology
The line-up shooting zone was made as a 3D space to give people experience with the products. A shooting set for attendees to personally shoot pictures was prepared, and it received a lot of attention not just from normal attendees but also business representatives.
A representative from Samsung said, “At the PMA 2008, we displayed a lot of innovative technology and excellent designs so that Samsung's technological abilities are recognized by the world market. In the future as well, we will use all of Samsung’s abilities to achieve excellence in our digital cameras."
